We would like to inform you about scheduled maintenance on our pluscloud open Region prod1 [DE-WEST-1].
Timeframe:
Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 8:00 p.m., through Thursday, October 8, 2026, 6:00 a.m.
What will be done?
We are updating the underlying software platform to a new version. The update improves security, stability, and performance. We expect noticeable improvements, particularly in the network components.
Schedule and Impact:
Night 1: Tuesday, October 6, 8:00 PM through approximately 2:00 AM
We will update the platform’s management layer. The OpenStack API may be unstable at times during this process. However, thanks to our high-availability infrastructure, we expect only minimal disruptions.
Night 2: Wednesday, October 7, 8:00 p.m. to Thursday, October 8, 6:00 a.m.
From 8:00 PM to approximately 11:00 PM, we will be carrying out preparatory measures. No disruptions are expected during this time.
Starting at approximately 11:00 PM, the critical phase will begin, during which the OpenStack services will be restarted. During this time, network interruptions of up to 15 minutes may occur.
Your running instances will not be shut down during the entire maintenance period.
Our recommendation:
Please do not plan any changes to your infrastructure during the maintenance window, such as creating, modifying, or deleting VMs, load balancers, routers, or volumes. Postpone automated deployments if possible.
We are carrying out the work with the utmost care and will notify you as soon as the maintenance is complete. If you have any questions, please contact our support team as usual.

Was wird gemacht?
Wir aktualisieren die zugrunde liegende Softwareplattform auf eine neue Version. Das Update verbessert Sicherheit, Stabilität und Performance. Insbesondere bei den Netzwerkkomponenten erwarten wir spürbare Verbesserungen.
Ablauf und Auswirkungen:
Nacht 1: Dienstag, 06.10., 20:00 Uhr bis ca. 02:00 Uhr
Wir aktualisieren die Managementebene der Plattform. Die OpenStack-API kann dabei zeitweise instabil sein. Dank der Hochverfügbarkeit erwarten wir jedoch nur minimale Unterbrechungen.
Nacht 2: Mittwoch, 07.10., 20:00 Uhr bis Donnerstag, 08.10., 06:00 Uhr
Von 20:00 bis ca. 23:00 Uhr treffen wir vorbereitende Maßnahmen. In dieser Zeit sind keine Beeinträchtigungen zu erwarten.
Ab ca. 23:00 Uhr beginnt die kritische Phase, in der die OpenStack-Services neu gestartet werden. In dieser Zeit kann es zu Netzwerkunterbrechungen von bis zu 15 Minuten kommen.
Ihre laufenden Instanzen werden während der gesamten Wartung nicht heruntergefahren.
Unsere Empfehlung:
Bitte planen Sie während der Wartungsfenster keine Änderungen an Ihrer Infrastruktur, etwa das Anlegen, Ändern oder Löschen von VMs, Load Balancern, Routern oder Volumes. Verschieben Sie automatisierte Deployments nach Möglichkeit.
Wir führen die Arbeiten mit größter Sorgfalt durch und informieren Sie, sobald die Wartung abgeschlossen ist. Bei Fragen erreichen Sie unser Support-Team wie gewohnt.
