Dear customers,
We would like to inform you about an urgent upgrade for VMware Cloud Director Availability. The reason for the urgent maintenance work is that the defective VCDA is blocking the urgently needed migrations between the old and new regions. There is already an open case with the manufacturer, but they will only be able to provide support after the update has been carried out. The work will be carried out for the following regions:
pluscloud VMware Region DE-3 [DE-WEST-1] pluscloud VMware Region DE-11 [DE-WEST-1]
The implementation will take place on: Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in the time between 09:00 and 12:00 (CEST)
During this time, the management interface and the API of the VCDA will not be accessible. Therefore, no configuration work can be carried out in the GUI during the maintenance period.
It has no influence on the ongoing operation of your VMs. The maintenance work serves to ensure the security, up-to-dateness and performance of our infrastructure. We endeavor to complete them as quickly as possible and with as little impact on your systems as possible.

Sehr geehrte Kunden,
hiermit möchten wir Sie über ein dringend notwendiges Upgrade für VMware Cloud Director Availability informieren. Der Grund für die dringenden Wartungsarbeiten ist, dass das defekte VCDA die dringend notwendigen Migrationen zwischen den alten und neuen Regionen blockiert. Es gibt bereits einen offenen Fall beim Hersteller, der jedoch erst nach der Durchführung des Updates Unterstützung bieten kann. Die Arbeiten werden durchgeführt für folgende Regionen:

Die Durchführung erfolgt am: Mittwoch, dem 16. Oktober 2024 in der Zeit zwischen 09:00 bis 12:00 Uhr (MESZ)
In dieser Zeit wird die Managementoberfläche sowie die API des VCDA nicht erreichbar sein. Daher können innerhalb des Wartungszeitraumes keine Konfigurationsarbeiten in der GUI durchgeführt werden.
Es hat keinen Einfluss auf den laufenden Betrieb Ihrer VMs. Die Wartungsarbeiten dienen der Sicherheit, Aktualität und Performance unserer Infrastruktur. Wir sind bemüht sie schnellstmöglich und mit so wenigen Auswirkungen für Ihre Systeme wie möglich abzuschließen.
